Recently
releasing their 3rd CD titled "Purely Mental", Mindlessanity projects a mix
of sounds comparable to Jim Morrison, a bit of Twisted Sister and a uniqueness
all their own. Each song on the CD seems to have its own individual flavor including
the hidden song on track 20. "Gasoline" and "Moonlight" would be the songs to
look for on this album with a strong rock groove reminiscent of Van Halen and
Danzig.
The bands ten year history includes opening for Skid Row
and Saigon Kick, as well as participating in charitable events for both The
American Cancer Society and Long Island Music Fights Terrorism shows.
These guys have seen some wild stuff while gigging including
a crazy naked chick that walked up to them outside and just wanted to hang out.
Apparently, she was already hanging out and I missed it. Oh well. Another time
involved running away from a 50 year old groupie that flashed the band and wanted
to smooch. Glad I missed that one. Just goes to show you to never borrow from
dads Old Spice collection.
Their CD, Purely Mental is now available at Empire Disc in
Garden City, live shows and soon on their website
www.mindlessanity.com.
